How old do you have to be to get your Forklift Licence?
You have to be 18 years and over.

I don’t have a Drivers Licence – can I still get my Forklift Licence?
Yes.

How long does a Licence last?
For 5 years.

I have plans to try and get a forklift job in another state can I drive forklifts legally in other states with this Licence?
Yes, this is a National Licence. 

What does LF and LO mean?
LF is a Licence for a forklift (Loadshifting Forklift). LO is a Licence for an order picker (Loadshifting Orderpicker).
The order picker is a forklift that elevates the operator with the load.

When can I start driving forklifts in Industry?
As soon as you have passed your test with us you will be issued with an interim Licence and can drive a forklift legally.

I have a Forklift Licence gained overseas. Is this enough to drive with in Australia?
No, there is no ability to transfer overseas forklift qualifications to a “Licence for High Risk Work”.

Do I need to bring anything with me? 
Photo ID, USI No. (Unique Student Identifier) Completed study guide and durable footwear.

Do I get tested after my training or do I come back another time?
You get tested at the end of your training 

Do I need to wear any special clothing?
You must have  sturdy shoes – preferably boots. Safety boots are preferred but not essential. We will provide you with fluoro vest.

I have trouble with my spelling – how am I going to cope with a written test?
Spelling is not important as long as you know the answers.

My writing is very poor – will you be able to understand my writing?
Yes, we can ask you verbally if we need to clarify an answer.

Can I do a verbal test?
Yes, after an evaluation is performed, if it is deemed necessary we can do a verbal test.

What are the start and finish times?
8.00 am until 4.00 pm.

I don’t have a car – how do I get to the training centre?
The training centre is a 1 minute walk from Bus Stop in Lathams Road. This bus route is 778 Kananook Station (Frankston Line) to Carrum Downs via Lathams Road.

What do I do for lunch?
Tea and Coffee is provided along with a fridge and a microwave. There is a lunch shop 1 minute walk from the training centre.

How much does the course cost?
There are a range of courses. For more information please fill out enquiry form or give us a call.

Does this include assessment fees?
Yes, the price you are quoted is the total fee for all tuition, study materials and assessment.

Are there any other fees?
No more fees to us. However, you must submit an application to WorkSafe The fee for them to issue your national card is $65. You also need 100 points of ID.

When is your next available course?

How do I make a booking?
Just give us a call and we can book you in. Courses need to be paid for in full to confirm your booking. You can pay be credit card, electronic funds transfer or an over the counter transfer at your local ANZ. Once payment has been received we will issue you with your study guide and booking confirmation.

Can I come and visit your training centre?
Yes but by appointment only.

How do I pay?
Full payment must be made in advance to secure your booking by Credit Card or EFT.
